SUMMER NIGHTS is an fan-animated 2D-live action hybrid music video put together by me, Katelyn Crement and Nicole Nilan in our Production Studio I class in 2019. The audio and inspiration comes directly from SIAME's music video. For this project, the original concept, storyboards and concept character designs (with Aion's design coming from a friend) were made by me. Nicole helped record and implement live action footage as well as compositing and editing the final video together, while Katelyn helped me draw and animate the final 2D assets. Below are the assets I created for the project.
SUMMER NIGHTS tells the story of four long-time friends looking to get away from their busy adult lives. Though they keep in touch they have not talked together in so long, until one day, one of them sends off a message to their long-quiet group chat...
